1942 Original RUTH LUBERSKY 20 Century American Sculptor. Terra Cotta Nude seated at a pool of water. Very good condition and clean.

WHITE SPOTS AND STREAKS ARE REFLECTIONS AND GLARE FROM THE LIGHTING. The nude measures 7 1/2 inches high by 7 inches long and 5 inches deep.

The pool measures14 inches long by 9 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches high. Both pieces signed by Ruth Lubersky 1941-2 on the bottoms. No cracks, chips, gouges or stains. I find very few light surface scuffs commensurate with light use, cleaning and storage. The pool has a surface discoloration from the nude statue's placement.

There is a small production flaw from the original firing; a thin fissure under a leg/base. It runs lateral and is not very noticeable beyond a few inches. The fissure is contained and poses no further threat to the pottery. This unique and well-composed statue is clean and ready for display.
