Pottery Kitten Cat Statue Set of two, made as a set by David L Davis in 1996 and signed as shown on the orange/ yellow kitten to the rear... But have not found it again recently but I do see one of his cats currently shown under a searching of his work. His animal works are very scarce and highly coveted. I believe this artist passed away in 2016, and his works continue to draw collectors world wide. These two adorable life like kittens, again, were made by Davis as a set, litter mates perhaps, to lie side by side as I have displayed them through the years in a glass cabinet or could possibly use as book ends for lighter weighted books...

Both are exceptionally cute, with superb detail to each in expression, coat and facial detail and workmanship. Their finish reminds me of rustic wood carvings and is wonderfully attractive. They are not glossy but more of a lower subdued finish, like warm and fuzzy! No chips, breaks or damage... Each kitten measures appx 8.5-9" L, 3.5-3.75" H and W. They have flattened backsides as designed by the artist so they could be place right next to each other while sleeping.
